Quicksheet for Palm Devices Now Available at Japanese E-tailer, Vis-A-Vis
DALLAS — February 23, 2000 — Cutting Edge Software, Inc. announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with online Japanese retailer, Vis-A-Vis, to market its Quicksheet(TM) software, the highly acclaimed and top-selling spreadsheet application for Palm OS handheld devices. The deal with Vis-A-Vis, located at http://direct.sgs.co.jp/visavis, is the company's first with a Japanese language download site.
Cutting Edge Software's president, Jeff Musa, views the deal with Vis-A-Vis as another strategic move toward global leadership in productivity software for the Palm OS space. "The Japanese market is experiencing tremendous growth in electronic software downloads (ESD), creating a tremendous opportunity to sell Quicksheet and our other products," said Mr. Musa. "Vis-A-Vis is an important Japanese e-retailer and we expect this agreement to bolster our dominant market position."
Vis-A-Vis manager, Naritomo Muzitani, is likewise optimistic about offering Quicksheet to his customers. "Every review of Quicksheet we have ever read has placed the product at the top of its class in the Palm OS space," said Mr. Muzitani. "With Japanese language localization now available, we certainly expect Quicksheet to become one of our best selling titles."
Quicksheet, which now comes bundled with the company's new charting module, Quickchart, retails for U.S. $49.95.
