Nettech Systems to Extend Enterprise Wireless Data Solutions for the Palm Computing Platform

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — October 19, 1999 — Nettech Systems, Inc., the leading provider of mobile middleware, announced here today that it will extend enterprise wireless data solutions for the Palm Computing(TM) platform. As part of this announcement, Nettech will also enable Palm VII(TM) developers to access enterprise data beyond the Palm.net(TM) service, thereby extending the Palm Computing platform to a broad range of enterprise and third-party software developers, including Nettech partners such as Puma Technology, Sybase and The Vantive Corporation.

To develop the Palm version of its middleware suite, Nettech partnered with Bachmann Software, a leading provider of Palm-based products and software development services. Nettech's Palm Computing platform solution will be demonstrated at the PalmSource conference at the Nettech booth #47. This demonstration will employ Nettech's ExpressQ to wirelessly retrieve stock quotes with the Palm VII device and a Palm III(TM) device with a Novatel Minstrel, using a wireless stock quote application.
