Hands High Software Releases Version 2.0 of PhoneLog for the Palm Computing Platform
EAST PALO ALTO, Calif. — June 5, 1998 — Hands High Software today announced version 2.0 of PhoneLog(tm), its award-winning phone call management system designed for the Palm Computing(R) platform. PhoneLog is available immediately through the Hands High Software Web site at http://www.handshigh.com/. Major enhancements to PhoneLog include: a phone management system to track incoming and outgoing phone calls; a sorting feature to manage calls by project, category and type; the ability to automatically add new contacts to the Address Book directly from PhoneLog; and the ability to purge phone calls once a call is followed up. "We developed PhoneLog 2.0 to manage the demands phone calls place on our business and personal lives," said Shannon Pekary, president of Hands High Software.
PhoneLog replaces the notepad next to the phone filled with names and numbers to call back, and the "stickies" posted on monitors. PhoneLog manages the demands of a full voicemail box by quickly recording the type of contact (voicemail received, a message left, or a conversation), the person contacted, the subject of the call, and notes about the call. PhoneLog automatically fills in the contact's phone number, the date, the time and the length of the call. The user can then check-off the call as the call is followed up. Checked calls can either be purged, or saved for later reference. PhoneLog provides a single source to manage phone calls and voicemail all on the PalmPilot organizer.
