Email Synchronization Between Palm Computing Devices and Macintosh Platform Expanded to Include Enterprise Support

NEW YORK — July 22, 1999 — Actual Software, a leading provider of communications software for the Palm Computing(R) platform, today announced that version 2.0 of the MultiMail(TM) Conduit for MacOS will include support for email synchronization with an IMAP4 server. IMAP4 is an email protocol supported by most corporate email servers, including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, and Novell GroupWise.

MultiMail Conduit for Macintosh was first released in January 1999. It supports Microsoft Outlook Express, Qualcomm's Eudora Pro, and Claris Emailer. Version 2.0, scheduled to be released in September, will allow users of Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes to synchronize with their Palm Computing device.
