eALITY Integrates with Palm Computer Expense Reports

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — October 13, 1999 — eALITY, Inc., a leading pure Application Service Provider (ASP) delivering Web-based, outsourced business application services for small-to-mid-sized companies, today announced that it has fully integrated its flagship service, eALITY eXPress(TM), with Palm Computing, Inc.'s, popular handheld wireless Palm Computing organizers.

As a first-of-its-kind "mobile ASP" service, this integration provides access to eALITY eXPress automated Web-based expense reports via any hand held Palm organizer.

"eALITY's ASP service and Palm Computing's hand held Palm Computers make perfect partners in cutting edge productivity tools," said Jim Buckley, eALITY CEO and president. "Palm Computing organizers deliver unmatched ease-of-use and immediate value to end-users which is exactly what eALITY provides as a pure ASP service. The match is a perfect fit for busy executives in fast-paced businesses."

"eALITY's proposition for small and midsize companies is that it provides an instant electronic infrastructure and automates what are typically time consuming processes," said Amy Levy, analyst at Summit Strategies. "The Palm Computing integration extends eALITY's already lightweight and easy-to-use service with an even more user-friendly channel for instant access."

Users simply record expenses on the fly with Palm Computing's HotSync(TM) and import the reports into eXPress for instant approval routing. Using eALITY's unique expense report form designed to integrate with data uploaded from the Palm device, users import the data easily with the push of a button.

As with all of eALITY's application services, users have the ability to annotate their reports online and route them through their approval process, thereby increasing productivity while avoiding delays with paper-based methods.

"Companies with 20 to 500 employees are strapped for IT resources to build and maintain a viable business infrastructure," said Colleen Boyarsky, president and director of research, Robert Frances Group. "As a pure ASP, eALITY gives fast-growth companies an instant business infrastructure. eALITY's new compatibility with the Palm Computer takes this one step further by providing plug-and-play integration with the popular PDA."

eALITY's pure ASP service, eALITY eXPress is a set of more than 40 application services, available for rent over the Internet, that helps companies automate critical day-to-day business processes. eALITY's customer base spans the technology, healthcare, financial, and retail industries.

Current eALITY customers include Williams-Sonoma, E-Loan, BabyCenter.Com (a subsidiary of eToys), PlanetRX, Chordiant Software, Juniper Networks and Persistence Software.
