Cutting Edge Software Inc. Releases Quicksheet 4.1 Along With New Charting Module, Quickchart 1.0
PLANO, Texas — November 9, 1999 — Cutting Edge Software Inc. today announced the latest version of Quicksheet, the award winning spreadsheet application for Palm Computing(R) compatible devices. The key enhancement to version 4.1 is its integration with Quickchart 1.0, the new charting module also unveiled today.

Quicksheet is the only fully functional spreadsheet application available for Palm Computing and Visor(R) Handspring(R) handheld devices that synchronizes directly with Microsoft(R) Excel(TM). Platinum Certified by 3Com(R), Quicksheet uses HotSync(TM) Technology to automatically synchronize entire spreadsheets to or from Microsoft Excel. Quicksheet includes 48 built-in functions and useful formatting, searching, editing, and navigating features.

Quickchart 1.0 adds an important charting element to Quicksheet and contains five charting types: line, pie, scatter, bar and stock charts. Users can chart multiple series on the same grid and can view graphs in gray scale or in patterns. Other features of Quickchart 1.0 include easy chart customization, the capability to plot multiple series on the same grid and options that enable a chart's axis and legend to be displayed or hidden and data points to be connected. Further, Quickchart 1.0 allows users to store charts within a Quicksheet spreadsheet and provides an unlimited number of views in which charts can be displayed, as well as a variety of other useful features.
