Communication Intelligence Corporation Begins Shipping QuickNotes for the Palm III and PalmPilot Connected Organizers

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — October 13, 1998 — Communication Intelligence Corporation (CIC)(Nasdaq: CICI) announced today that its popular note taking application, QuickNotes(TM), is now available for the Palm III(TM), PalmPilot(TM) and Pilot edition connected organizers from 3Com Corporation. QuickNotes is a notetaking application that captures handwritten notes and drawings in ink. QuickNotes offers a free PC compatible desktop companion and is priced at $ 19. A special bundle offering of CIC's recently announced Jot(TM) handwriting recognition system and QuickNotes is now being offered for $ 48. Jot and QuickNotes are available for download from CIC's website at http://www.cic.com.

QuickNotes will allow users to capture and save handwritten notes and drawings in electronic ink on the Palm III or PalmPilot edition organizers. Each note is automatically time and date stamped. The application also supports cutting and pasting among notes. Application options include selections for ink width, eraser, and different viewing and navigation tools. Notes can be given titles of up to 8 characters and sorted alphabetically. QuickNotes also offers a free PC compatible desktop companion for the product. The desktop version allows the user to archive and print notes from a desktop PC running Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0.
