Diverse Networks Lands Palm Outsourcing Contract
HOUSTON — March 3, 2000 — Diverse Networks Inc. (DNI) today announced that it has entered into a multi-year outsourcing contract with Palm Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) to provide a wide variety of network operations and management services. DNI is now monitoring, managing, and operating Palm Computing's Palm.Net(TM) Internet Portal and Wireless Service.
Diverse Networks is providing nationwide level 1 and 2 monitoring and management services on a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day basis for the Palm.Net service from the new DNI Operations Center in Houston. The Center has been designed and constructed to offer the hardened power, communication, and physical security infrastructure required for high availability services like the Palm.Net network.

Under the terms of the Agreement, DNI will provide all operations-related services for Palm.Net(SM) services, including monitoring, trouble-ticket tracking, network administration, level 1 and level 2 repair, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, report generation, and repair dispatching (for services provided by others). DNI is also providing engineering support services in the form of Unix and NT administration, network architecture design and engineering, capacity testing and planning, and network management system design and development.
