Telephony Experts Announce Integrated Wireless Calling and Account Management Support for the Palm Computing Platform
LOS ANGELES — February 1, 2000 — Telephony Experts, the leader in distributed switching, IVR and real-time billing for multimedia networks, today announced a new wireless interface for their award-winning, distributed telephony switching and billing platform, "Talking NT Enterprise SQL" using the Palm Computing(R) platform.
Telephony Experts' multimedia switching platform now supports the Palm Computing platform for wireless customer access. Users can access system facilities in order to subscribe for prepaid calling service, place telephone calls, view account history and information, and receive voice and fax message notification. Subscribing for services and recharging existing accounts is automatic using the built in e-commerce capabilities. This advanced technology reduces the load on network customer service departments as it allows for the self-servicing of user accounts for resource intensive tasks such as billing questions and prepaid account recharging.
