New Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook is Now Available from Franklin Covey

SALT LAKE CITY — July 7, 1999 — Franklin Covey (NYSE: FC), today began shipping Franklin Planner(TM) for Microsoft(R) Outlook(TM), a new individual and enterprise solution that extends the popular Microsoft Outlook environment to include principles from Franklin Covey's revolutionary time and life management workshop, What Matters Most(TM), and world renowned Franklin Planner. The new software includes built-in synchronization to 3Com's Palm Computing(R) platform and the Microsoft Windows(R) CE(TM) platform for palm-sized PC's. Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook is now available at a special introductory price of $99.95. 99.95.

Using innovative new technology, five custom windows transform Microsoft Outlook 98's Outlook Today(TM) into What Matters Most(R) Today allowing users to create a snapshot of daily calendar items, values, roles, mission statement, long-range goals, a Daily Record of Events (Outlook's Journal), and a Weekly Compass(R). Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook also offers a Prioritized Daily Task List, a separate window, that synchronizes with Outlook's TaskPad enabling users to assign value, priority, and Franklin Planner action codes to tasks. In addition, the software includes seven new applications for Palm Computing organizers and brings the Prioritized Daily Task List, Master Task List and Daily Record of Events to Windows CE palm-sized PC devices. Franklin Covey also offers free basic training courses for Palm Computing organizers at any of its 127 retail locations.
