MultiMail 3.0 for the Palm Computing Platform Released With Enhanced Enterprise Support; Features Include 256K Message Size and SSL Security

NEW YORK — June 23, 1999 — Actual Software, a leading provider of communications software for the Palm Computing(R) platform, today announced the release of version 3.0 of its popular MultiMail(TM) product. MultiMail allows users of Palm Computing platform devices to send and receive email directly from an email server and synchronize email with the PC or Macintosh platforms. MultiMail supports Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, and Novell GroupWise.

Version 3.0 includes support for enhanced security, 256K messages, and includes a newsreader. The product has been designed to meet the growing demand from corporate customers to provide a powerful and secure email client on the handheld that can work over a wireless connection and during cradle synchronization. The security enhancements allow encrypted transmissions between MultiMail and Exchange, Domino, and GroupWise. MultiMail supports POP3, IMAP3, SMTP, and NNTP protocols.
