Handheld Computer Users Create Communities With New Solution Previewing At DemoMobile 99

DEMOMOBILE 99 CONFERENCE, CORONADO, Calif. — April 12, 1999 — At the DemoMobile 99 conference today, PlusFactor Software Inc., of Portland, Ore., previewed WeSync(TM), a combination of software and Internet technologies that allows individual handheld computing devices to be used as a truly collaborative tool. Scheduled for launch later this year, WeSync will allow users to stay easily connected with others by helping them share calendar and contact information simply and automatically via PlusFactor's WeSync Communities Web site (www.wesync.com).

With WeSync, users can create, edit, and simultaneously view multiple calendars on their Palm Computing(R) organizers. The WeSync software also extends the Palm Computing HotSync(R) feature to automatically synchronize shared community data via the Internet.

From the WeSync(TM) Web site, users will also have access to a wide variety of downloadable public schedules and contact information, which will span the range from sports schedules to travel information, financial reporting and industry events.

"Online communities have become increasingly important to the Palm Computing platform," said Gabriel Acosta-Lopez, director of platform development services for Palm Computing, Inc., a 3Com company. "WeSync will help the users of Palm Computing organizers share schedule and business information with coworkers and colleagues, as well as keep personal plans and contacts current with family and friends."

WeSync Availability and Pricing

WeSync will be available in the third quarter of 1999. Initially, for a limited time, PlusFactor will be distributing the solution for free via the WeSync Web site.

The initial version of the product will operate exclusively on the Palm Computing platform, however, PlusFactor plans to release a Microsoft(R) Windows(R) CE version later in the year. For additional information, or to register for upcoming beta trials, please visit www.wesync.com.
