Palm Computing Names New Chief Executive Officer

LOS ALTOS, Calif. — June 23, 1992 — Palm Computing, a software developer and marketer focusing exclusively on the emerging market for consumer palmtop computers, today announced the appointment of Donna Dubinsky to the newly created position of president and chief executive officer.

Palm Computing was founded in January 1992 by Jeff Hawkins, formerly vice president of research at GRiD Systems and a leader in the pen computing field.

Dubinsky comes to Palm Computing with over ten years of management experience in the microcomputer industry including, most recently, founder and vice president international at Claris Corp. Previous to Claris she held senior management positions in marketing, sales and distribution at Apple Computer. She holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.A. from Yale University.

Palm computing is creating application software for palmtop computers being jointly developed by Casio Computer Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan and Tandy Corp. of Ft. Worth, Texas.
