Active Link Communications Names Former Fujitsu CEO Lou Panetta as Vice President Marketing

DENVER and CHICAGO — November 19, 2001 — Mobility Concepts, a leading provider of wireless networking and remote computing solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Active Link Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACVE), today announced the appointment of former Fujitsu executive Lou Panetta as vice president marketing. He will also serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Active Link.

Panetta is the former president and CEO of Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc., the world leader in pen-based and hand-held mobile computers. Under Panetta's direction, Fujitsu Personal Systems captured more than 60% of the worldwide market and achieved a 50% compounded annual growth rate. In addition, Panetta rebuilt the company's U.S. sales channel and expanded operations into Europe, Australia and South America, establishing more than 400 value-added resellers and system integrators worldwide.

As Fujitsu's chief executive officer, Panetta worked closely with Mobility Concepts, which is a major customer for Fujitsu's pen-based tablets. "As evidenced by our aggressive growth at Fujitsu Personal Systems, the wireless networking and remote computing industry has a very bright future," said Panetta. "Having achieved my personal objectives on the hardware side of the business, I was eager to get involved with a total solutions provider in order to bring my experience and energy to bear on the client side. Mobility Concepts is a widely recognized leader in this space and I have long admired the company's customer-driven approach to doing business. I am looking forward to helping Mobility Concepts achieve continued growth and success."

Tim Ells, president and CEO of both Mobility Concepts and Active Link, noted, "Lou Panetta brings to Mobility Concepts a wealth of industry-specific experience and relationships that are ideally suited to accelerating our efforts to move to the next level of growth. In addition to his proven track record in sales and marketing, he brings broad management and strategic planning skills that will be invaluable to Mobility Concepts."

Including his seven-year assignment with Fujitsu, Panetta has more than 30 years of diversified experience in sales, marketing, systems engineering and general management of high technology companies, including Novell, Grid Systems, Faraday Electronics and Eastman Kodak.
