Fujitsu Personal Systems Taps Chris Claudatos for New Senior Vice President Role
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — August 2, 1999 — Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc. (FPSI), the undisputed leader in the Windows pen tablet market, today announced that Mr. Chris Claudatos has been promoted to the position of senior vice president. In this new role, Claudatos will be responsible for directing all FPSI marketing, planning and operations activities worldwide. Claudatos, formerly vice president of operations and planning at FPSI, possesses nearly 20 years of high-tech marketing, management and operations experience with industry-leading companies such as ITT Corporation, DSC Communications and Sun Microsystems. "Chris' proven leadership skills and depth of experience in the mobile computing industry make him the ideal person for this new post," said FPSI president and CEO Louis Panetta. Most recently, he served as FPSI's vice president of operations and planning, where he was responsible for operations, purchasing, business planning and forecasts. His accomplishments include centralization of production and logistics to ensure uniform products across countries, establishing a global build-to-order program, and ensuring worldwide availability of the Stylistic LT and peripherals on launch date.
