QUALCOMM Announces Eudora E-mail Client for the Apple MessagePad and Forthcoming Newton 2.0 Operating System
BOSTON — November 28, 1995 — Nov. 28, 1995–QUALCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM), a leader in advanced electronic messaging solutions for the Internet and wireless communications, Tuesday announced the availability of the Eudora Light client for the Apple MessagePad and forthcoming Newton 2.0 operating system.
Eudora Light is an electronic mail software application provided free on the Internet for users of both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Eudora Light software delivers outstanding e-mail functionality and is specifically designed for use on the Internet and other information productivity services.

About the Newton 2.0 Operating System
According to Apple Computer Inc., the Newton 2.0 operating system is a major revision to the original operating system. It is designed to advance the Newton platform by providing improved organizational and communications capabilities, as well as the ability to integrate Apple PDAs with Windows and Macintosh computers.
Improvements to the Newton 2.0 operating system include greater ease-of-use, better handwriting recognition, newer personal information management applications and support for LAN/WAN environments.

Apple plans to distribute the product through a variety of electronic and retail sources, including America Online, AppleLink, CompuServe, eWorld, Apple's world wide web site at http://www.apple.com, as well as through a variety of retail chains, including the Newton Source and Newton Store.
Eudora Pro carries a suggested list price of $ 89 and is available thorough nearly all major U.S. retail chains, including Best Buys, Comp USA, Egghead Software, Fry's Electronics, Incredible Universe and MicroCenter.
