Mobile Computing Insights Announces Mobility Award Nominees
CUPERTINO, Calif. — January 18, 1995 — Mobile Computing Insights Inc. today announced the nominees for the Mobility Awards, the first awards devoted specifically to recognizing products and leaders in the mobile computing and data communications industries.
The winners of the Mobility Awards will be announced at a gala awards banquet on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at the Mobile Insights '95 conference. Mobile Insights '95 will be held Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 at the Marriott's Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Ariz. The conference will give mobile computing and data communications professionals the opportunity to discuss critical trends and issues confronting their businesses.

Gerry Purdy, president of Mobile Computing Insights Inc. and conference director for Mobile Insights '95. The nominees for the awards were selected by an external panel of industry analysts and members of the press. Nominees were selected for Mobility Awards in the following major product categories: portable and handheld computing, PCMCIA cards, wireless communications, and software products. Nominees were also selected for recognition in the areas of personal achievement, technology innovation, best service of the year, and overall best product of the year in the mobile computing and data communications industries. The Mobility Awards ceremony will take place at Mobile Insights '95 on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 6:30 p.m. and will begin with a reception sponsored by Cirrus Logic. Dinner and the awards ceremony, sponsored by PC World, will follow immediately at 7:30 p.m. At the awards ceremony, winners will be presented with beautiful jade-and-crystal trophies engraved with the name of the category and/or the individual.
